Dans son travail récent Sandra Krasker a fait le choix de combiner deux médiums, la vidéo et le dessin.
A travers la vidéo « Verser l’offrande » de format d’1mn 06 s, Sandra Krasker mène une recherche sur la représentation de l’idole qui incarne la transmission, l’héroïne oubliée de l’histoire : la mère.
L’histoire se crée dans l’Espagne anarchiste où les rêves de jeunesse et de liberté des jeunes femmes au travers des idéologies politiques laisseront place à une survie imposée par la guerre civile.
La dimension du temps apparaît avec un montage mêlant une photo de la grand-mère de l’artiste, révolutionnaire et incarnant le rêve d’une utopie, des héroïnes de guerres inconnues récupérées dans des archives de la guerre civile espagnole, un extrait de Tristana de Buñuel, et des scènes de vie de la mère de l’artiste dont son mariage.
A partir de cette vidéo, Sandra Krasker crée des dessins, image par image pour visualiser une seconde, cf. le dessin « Immaculée ». Ce dessin est une séquence comprenant 25 images et donc la représentation physique exacte d’une seconde mais que l’on peut arrêter à tout jamais par le trait : une seconde d’éternité sur papier, une seconde qui surgit du passé et qui sort de notre espace-temps.
Cette approche vidéo mêlée au dessin et à la photographie est donc une réappropriation de ce qui échappe à l’artiste, l’envie de retenir la vie qui file dans un flux d’informations et d’événements.

In her recent work Sandra Krasker has chosen to combine two mediums, video and drawing.
Through the video “Verser l’offrande” Sandra Krasker conducts research on the representation of the idol who embodies the transmission, the forgotten heroine of history: the mother.
The story is created in the Spain of the thirties where the dreams of youth and freedom of young women through political ideologies will give way to a survival imposed by the civil war.
The dimension of time appears with a montage mixing a photo of the grandmother of the artist, revolutionary and embodying the dream of a utopia, heroines of unknown wars recovered from the archives of the Spanish Civil War, an extract from « Tristana of Buñuel », and scenes of life of the artist’s mother, including her marriage.
From this video, Sandra Krasker creates drawings, image by image to show one second, cf. the drawing “Immaculée” 80x80cm. This drawing is a sequence comprising 25 images and therefore the exact physical representation of one second but that can be stopped forever by the stroke : One second of eternity on paper, one second which emerges from the past and coming out of our space-time.
This video approach mixed with drawing and photography is therefore a reappropriation of what escapes the artist, the desire to retain life in a flow of information and events.
